Swainson's Hawk <br /> The State Department of Fish and Game (DFG) notes that there is a Swainson's Hawk nest site a short <br /> distance from this site, and this project will result in the significant loss of Swainson's Hawk foraging <br /> habitat. It is recommended that the applicant mitigate for the loss of habitat based on the DFG's Draft <br /> Mitigation Guidelines for Swainson's Hawks (Buten swainsonia) in the Central Valley of California. It is <br /> further recommended that the applicant obtain a'take permit' pursuant to Section 2081 of the Fish and <br /> Game Code.
