In orde"r to ensure that tap water is safe to drink, the USEPA. and the State Nater Resources Control Board (State
Board) prescribe regulations that limit the amount. of certain contaminants ix1 water provided by public water systems.
State Board regulations also establish limits for contaminants in bottled water that must provide the same protection
for public health.
Tables 1., 2, 3, and 4 list all of tate drinking water contaminants that were detected during the most recent _
sampling for the constituent. The presence of these contaminants in the water does not rxecessaffly indicate that the
water poses a health risk,. The State Board allows us to monitor for certain contaminants .less than once per year
because the concentrations of these contaminants donot change frequently. Some of the data, though representative
of the water quality, are more than one year old.
TABLE I - SAMPLING RESULTS SHOWING THE DETECTION OF COLIFORM BACTERIA
Microbiological
Contaminants
Total Coliform.
Highest
No. of
Detections
(In a mo.)
No. of
Min hs
Violation
1
MCL
More than 1
sample in a month
MCLG
0
Bacteria
with a detection
routine sainp e
(Iia the
and a re eat
sample detect total
l~ ecal Coliform or
year)
0
coliform and either
0
L. coli
sample also detects.
0
fecal calz£ozor
m
. cult
Typical Source of Bacteria
Naturally present in the
environment
Human and animal fecal waste
TABLE 2 - SAMPLING RESULTS SHOWING THE DETECTION OF LEAD AND COPPER
Sam. of Ifs PercentileqOtl x .Sim -- -- ... .....,..._.....-- ---
tes
Lead and Copper PercentileP cal Source of
(and reporting units) Collected Level AL g AL PHG Contaminant
Detected
5 '
Lead (ppb) < 5 0 15 0.2
(07103113)
Capper (Ppm)
Any violation of an
5
< 0.05 0
(07103113)
L or A.L it aslerisked. Coliforms were found in. more samples than. allowed and this was a warning of potential
problems. In response, the public was notified, and the entire drinking water system was disinfected, flushed, and re-
tested. Follow-up testing confirmed that the problem had been resolved.
Received T m e Jun , 2 2, 2015 9: 2 2 A M N o, 9 U 17 SWS CCP Form -Revised Apr112000
