The preferred location for water <br /> storage tanks is in non-residential areas. In such cases, <br /> the visual qualities of the facility and site landscaping <br /> shall be compatible with that normally encountered in <br /> a non-residential atmosphere. In the event that a water <br /> storage tank must be located within a residential area, <br /> its design shall be such as to minimize, as much as <br /> possible, the adverse visual and noise impacts on the <br /> adjacent community. The color of the storage tank <br /> shall be such as to minimize the visual impact on the <br /> adjacent land uses. Colors selected shall be generally <br /> neutral that will allow the facility to blend in with the <br /> visual character of the neighborhood. Landscaping, <br /> especially trees,shall be used to visually buffer the <br /> storage tank. Water storage facilities shall be: <br /> Located at the highest available point relative to their <br /> pressure zone. <br /> Constructed with the lowest profile consistent with <br /> sound economical engineering practices.
