The number of total jobs is likely to be lower by about 30 jobs because the Neighborhood
Commercial area includes I acre of neighborhood commercial uses and 1.56 acres for a
neighborhood recreation center that will not likely generate 24 jobs/acre.
Table U-5
PROJECTED JOBS/HOUSING RATIO AT BUILDOUT OF NEIGHBORHOOD"F" PROJECT
Total
Total Dwelling Resident Jobs/Housing
Employment Units Employees' Ratio
Tentative Map 3,128 1,522 2,192 1.43
Number of employed residents assumes 1.44 employees per household as discussed in text above.
6. Infrastructure
Water Lines. Water to the project would be provided by the Mountain House Community Services District
(CSD). Prior to issuance of any certificates of occupancy, the proposed CSD water treatment plant, to be
located on the north side of Byron Road north of the project site, would be completed (see Figure 3). A
potable water main would extend from this plant, southeast along Byron Road and south along De Anza
Boulevard to serve the project site. Smaller water pipelines would be constructed raider roadways to serve
individual homes and businesses.
Wastewater Lines. Wastewater service would be provided by the CSD. Prior to issuance of any certificates
of occupancy for the project, the CSD would complete the wastewater treatment plant that would be located
north of Byron Road, northeast of the project site (see Figure 3). Sanitary sewer lines would be extended
westward from this plant along Byron Road and then southward along De Anza Boulevard. Smaller sewer
lines would be constructed under roadways to serve individual homes and businesses.
Berms and Other Flood Protection Measures. Anticipated flood protection measures are described in
more detail in Section J of Chapter V. Off-site improvements anticipated to be constructed as part of this
project include a series of interim improvements, including minor modifications to one of the existing earthen
dams located upstream and outside of the Mountain House New Community, in Alameda County. This dam
is located about 2,700 feet west of the community boundaries. In addition, two interim creek crossings and
additional interim berms are proposed along Mountain House Creek south of Byron Road.
