Restrict left turn movements onto Mascot Boulevard between Mountain House Parkway and DeAnza
Boulevard.
5. Either construct Mascot Boulevard to four lanes between Mountain House Parkway and the first
entrance into the residential area with a four-way stop at the intersection of Mascot and DeAnza
Boulevards or signalize the intersection of Mascot and DeAnza Boulevards.
6. Construct all roadways serving the site with two lanes.
Additional Impacts On Mountain House Parkway
An analysis of the AM and PM peak hour traffic volumes along Mountain House Parkway from I-205 to
Mascot Boulevard was conducted by Dowling Associates, Inc. Based upon the criteria for maintaining
level of service D conditions along this route plus insuring that level of service F conditions do not occur,
it was determined that Mountain House Parkway should be widened from two to four travel lanes. Table
V-7 details the projected peak hour traffic volumes and the capacities used to establish roadway level of
service without such widening. With four lanes, the peak hour levels of service would be D or better. The
directional capacity of a four-lane roadway at level of service D is 1,890 vehicles per hour. The phasing
of these improvements should be linked to the buildout of Neighborhood"F". At the time, Neighborhood
"F: is near 50 percent of buildout, Mountain House Parkway should be widened from two to four lanes.
Table V-7
MOUNTAIN HOUSE PARKWAY LEVEL OF SERVICE
WITH BUILDOUT OF NEIGHBORHOOD"F"
AM Peak Hour PM Peak Hour
Capacity Level of Capacity Level of
at LOS Service at LOS Service
Roadway Segment NB i SB D/E NB/SB NB SB D/E NB/SB
I-205 to Grant Line Road 903 1,020 880/900 F/F 732 1,059 880/900 C/F
Grant Line Road to 1,221 1 999 880/900 F/F 1,106 1,435 880/900 F/F
Mascot Boulevard
Note: Capacity is for two-lane roadway.
Source: Dowling Associates,Inc.,Optrans—Mountain House Community Neighborhood F—Transportation Impact Analysis,
February 9,2000,and Level of Service Manual, State of Florida Department of Transportation Systems Planning Office,
1995.
CAMMMULAL S MYTMAUNMALSIVDY•PARITDDC(7120100) 58 V.F.
