All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed two juvenile cockroaches on the wall behind the ice machine and one on the underside of a <br />table. Observed an egg casing at an unused pot on a shelf. Glue boards on top of the hot water heater have multiple <br />cockroaches. No roaches were observed at food prep areas / food contact surfaces. <br />Per owner, Terminix comes out monthly (observed service invoice dated 6-9-22). <br />An additional/more frequent service is recommended. <br />Clean and sanitize all affected areas. <br />A re-inspection will occur in 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin: rodents (rats, mice), cockroaches, flies.( 114259.1, 114259.4, <br />114259.5) <br /> #29 Toxic Substances Properly Identified/Stored/Used <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed a can of Hot Shot Ant & Roach spray. Remove this product from use at the food facility. Use <br />commercial grade / food safe insecticides. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All poisonous substances, detergents, bleaches, and cleaning compounds shall be stored separate from food, <br />utensils, packing material and food-contact surfaces. (114254, 114254.1, 114254.2) <br /> #34 Warewashing Facilites Maintained <br />OBSERVATIONS: Chlorine sanitizer test strips are needed. Obtain chlorine sanitizer test strips by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Food facilities that prepare food shall be equipped with warewashing facilities. Testing equipment and <br />materials shall be provided to measure the applicable sanitization method.
