Flora (Senior Hazardous Materials Specialist) at
(408) 918-3486 (travis.flora@cep.sccgov.org) regarding contaminated soil coming
from Santa Clara County (589 W. Fremont Avenue, Sunnyvale) and being
disposed to the land. Received call back from Travis Flora and he said that the
values for TPH-motor oil and TPH-diesel are so low that they are not a concern.
The soil is non-hazardous so there wouldn't be any reason why it couldn't be used
in this project. He said that he is unaware of any regulations that would prevent
the soil from being used this way and that it is typical in his county. He also said
that since the site that the soil is coming from is a closed clean-up site there isn't
any concern there either. He would only be concerned if it was coming from an
active clean-up site.
Wrote referral letter to DTSC and Water Board.
BAKER
Returned call to Hardeep Singh (209-640-1000). He said he has stopped all
additional truck loads of dirt until questions are resolved. Chains have been put up
to block entry and two guards are on site to prevent any dumping. Tracy Paving
and Grading is the company that was hired to bring in the dirt.
05/23/2022 Scanned file for referral. BAKER
06/06/2022 Referred complaint to Holly Young (Waterboards) at BAKER
Holly.Young@Waterboards.ca.gov.
Abated complaint as 07-Referred to other agency. Turned in file to Lead Sr.
REHS for review.
5105.rpt
