Recommendations
Action
It is recommended that the Planning Commission:
1. Approve the Negative Declaration;
2. Recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve General Plan Amendment No. GP-01-2
based on the ability to make the required "Basis for General Plan Amendment'as contained in
the staff report;and
3. Recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve Zone Reclassification No.ZR-01-7 based on
the ability to make the required "Bases for Zone Reclassification" as contained in the staff
report.
Basis for General Plan Amendment
1. The internal consistency of the General Plan is maintained in the adoption of the Amendment.
• This determination can be made because the proposal is consistent with the development
and locational criteria relative to the Residential— Very Low Density designation contained
in Volume I of the General Plan.
Bases For Zone Reclassification
1. The proposed zone district is consistent with the General Plan, any applicable Master Plan, and any
applicable Specific Plan.
• This determination can be made because the Residential — Very Low Density (R-VL) zone
is a consistent implementing zone for the RNL designation. This proposal is consistent
with the General Plan and meets the development and locational criteria contained in
Volume I of the General Plan relative to Residential —Very Low Density areas.
2. The proposed zone district is reasonable and beneficial at this time.
• This determination can be made because public water, sewer, and storm drainage are
available. Also, the rezoning will permit the applicant to submit a Major Subdivision
application to subdivide seven parcels for the purpose of creating 70 residential lots.
San Joaquin County GP-01-2, ZR-01-7\Linne Estates
Community Development Page 5
