Mr. Karam indicated that the
applicants may want to talk to the Public Works Department Flood Engineer (Mike Callahan
(209) 468-3000) about flood proofing a building. Mr. Neely indicated that the Department of
Public Works is concerned about the fuel tanks floating in the event of a flood.
Mr. Karam indicated that they would discuss the drainage and sewage issue at another time at
the Public Works Department.
Mr. Stupi asked if the Irrigation District would allow their drainage to drain into the canal.
Mr. Karam and Mr. Borges indicated that in some cases they do but there would need to be
some kind of an agreement/payment. Mr. Darrow gave the applicants a design sheet on
drainage.
Mr. Karam and staff informed and discussed the Traffic Study with the applicants.
Mr. Neely informed the applicants of the Traffic Mitigation Fees.
Mr. Karam informed the applicants that the design of the water system must be a modular
system. Mr. Stupi asked if they could annex into the water and sewer system. Mr. Karam
advised the applicants to contact Mr. Lau of the Public Works Department (209) 468-3000
regarding the water and sewer system.
Mr. Borges reviewed the Environmental Health Division's requirements with the applicants.
Mr. Martin asked if there were any other comments from other agencies. Mr. Martin reviewed
the California Regional Water Quality Control Boards attached letter. Mr. Martin informed the
applicants that if they decide to use an onsite wastewater treatment plant the Community
Development Department would need to know the details for the Initial Study.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------7--------------
10:00 a.m. 3.
