Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: <br />11:15 am <br />10:25 am <br />Time Out: <br />Program Element: 3612 - PUBLIC POOL/SPA - ADDITIONAL <br />Telephone: (209) 951-4391 Owner/Operator: PATMON COMPANY INC <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit <br />Address: 6465 N WEST LN, STOCKTON 95210 <br />Date: 06/27/2022Name of Facility: WESTPOINTE APARTMENTS SE POOL <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine was 13.6 ppm. Maintain free chlorine between 3.0-10.0 ppm at all times when <br />operating. Corrected on site, it was 9.5 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level was below 7.0. Maintain pH level between 7.2-7.8 at all times when operating. Corrected on <br />site, pH level was 7.4. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Lacking body hook. Provide body hook, the length of the rescue pole shall be of sufficient length to <br />effectuate rescue. Correct prior to re-opening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Hand rail is loose. Secure hand rail prior to re-opening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained.
