July 24, 2008 <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> ROSE FAMILY PROPERTY <br /> LINNE ROAD AND INTERSTATE 5 <br /> TRACY, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: LGS080526 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Jim Rose of Rose Family Tracy Properties, LP to conduct a Soil <br /> Suitability Study for a property located at the northwest corner of Linne Road and Interstate 5 <br /> in Tracy, California (the "Site'. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by the <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and groundwater information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD'5 Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APNs) for the Site are 239-200-30 and 239-200-31.1 The <br /> property is approximately 95 acres in size (see Plate 1). The county application numb is PA- <br /> 08-071. The Site is currently used for growing row crops. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey Topographic Map, is <br /> between approximately 60 and 7Meet above mean sea level. The land grades up to the <br /> southwest. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> (http://www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned AG-40, general agriculture l <br /> with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres.
