COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />11:15 am <br />10:51 am <br />Time Out: <br />Time In: <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Name of Facility: TARGET T0313 Date: 07/11/2022 <br />Address: 4707 PACIFIC AVE, STOCKTON 95207 <br />Owner/Operator: TARGET CORPORATION Telephone: (209) 476-8081 <br />Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM Complaint #: CO0055025 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />COMPLAINANT ALLEGES THERE IS A FOUL SMELL IN THE PRODUCE AND REFRIGERATED/FROZEN FOOD <br />SECTION. COMPLAINANT STATES THAT IT SMELLS LIKE SOMETHING IS DEAD/ROTTING. COMPLAINANT <br />BROUGHT THE CONCERN UP TO AN EMPLOYEE AND THE EMPLOYEE SAID THAT THE SMELL HAS BEEN THERE <br />SINCE THEY INSTALLED THE NEW FREEZERS. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />No Temperature Data Collected <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION -- TEMP º F -- COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />On site to conduct complaint investigation. Per Lizett Soto (Manager), Target is aware of the complaint. A third party <br />contractor has been hired to investigate the cause of the smell in the produce/cooler area. The coolers and shelves in the <br />area were cleaned and sprayed underneath. The fans in the coolers were not working and were repaired. The backboards of <br />the wine shelves will be replaced. <br />Observed a faint smell of rotten produce when the milk display cooler was opened. Did not observe any other foul smells <br />inside the store. Unable to verify alleged complaint. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
