Complaint Investigation Summary Report #. 5105 <br />COMPLAINT ID: C00054211 Site Location: 5444 CORA POST RD <br />Activity Summary <br />Activity Date Recorded by <br />09/15/2021 Visited the property, Spoke with tenant at 5444 Cora post and looked for the septic SALINAS <br />tank to see if there was surfacing sewage. Found it at about 28 ft from the clean <br />out. I explained the tenant that the owner is responsible for the maintenance of the <br />septic system and asked if there was any sewage backing up in the shower or <br />bathroom. She said no. I explained that the SJC code states that it needs to be <br />cleaned every 3 years and that I will let the owner know he is required to do so. <br />She also stated that the owner can be intimidating and that some past tenants <br />have feared of retaliation (e.i. higher rent or being kicked out) <br />I spoke to a boy about 8 years old and asked if I could talk to his mom or dad. He <br />went in the house and came back stating his mom was coming in 45 minutes. I <br />gave him my card and as I was going to get in the car, a man called Kenney <br />209-922-6692 came out of the house and I told him I was there to investigate a <br />report related to sewage and septic tanks on the property. He stated they had <br />sewage backing up about 4 months ago and that the water is sandy. I asked if I <br />could see the well but stated that his dog was unleashed. I peaked through the <br />fence and saw it leaking. I asked if I could take a picture and he let me do so. I <br />asked him if there were any other issues with the house and he said no. <br />I went back to the office <br />04/29/2022 Created a photo log and an official inspection report, additionally, ran and printed SALINAS <br />report 5105 and turned it in to Scott for revision. <br />51 05. rpt <br /> Page 2 of 2
