They have found an encampment under the SANGALANG
Lower Sacramento and Bear Creek bridge. There is a tunnel that has been dug
out with possible homeless living inside.
I contacted Michael S to make an inspection.
Spoke with Michael after his inspection. He said that there isn't too much trash etc
under the bridge. The tunnel though may extend 10-15ft.
03/04/2021 Reviewed the complaint and looked up the area of Parcel Viewer. Printed out a SUSZYCKI
satellite image.
03/04/2021 Visited the location and I did not see any people or animals. There were no tents SUSZYCKI
under the bridge but there was a tunnel on the north side. The tunnel was full or
various articles and appeared to have a second opening that was blocked by junk.
03/04/2021 Used the pictures taken during my complaint investigation to create a SUSZYCKI
photographic log. Printed the log and sent a copy to Scott via email.
Created an Inspection Report, printed it, and sent Scott a copy via email.
03/08/2021 Reviewed Michael S's report and photo log. I was going to send to the ERT group SANGALANG
but remembered that CDD's report and photo log are usually included with that
email. I emailed Marcel and Corinne about the site and asked if they could send
someone and send me the report and photo log.
03/30/2021 ERT meeting set up for this complaint. Spoke with Eric Ambriz. The unsheltered SANGALANG
person at this site moves back and forth along Bear Creek but it is only 1 person
at this site. There isn't much garbage under the bridge but the tunnel that was dug
may cause structural problems. Received email from Troy Botts, he stated that
there would be substantial repairs needed at this site.
04/02/2021 Printed reports, photo logs, and evaluation form for Monday's ERT meeting. SANGALANG
04/05/2021 Spoke with Hemal Parikh of Public Health regarding this encampment. He stated SANGALANG
that there are no known outbreaks in the area. There are no health concerns
regarding this encampment. He said that Public Health would visit the site to offer
the unsheltered individual PH assistance before Thursday's posting.
5105. rpt Page 1 of 2
