Investigation Report <br />Complaint 1998-6-35 <br />Mr. Bill Lane <br />23023 Santa Fe, Escalon <br />June 6, 1998 <br />I. Introduction: <br />On June 9, 1998, Inspector Rod Swartzendruber performed a complaint <br />investigation of an open burn at Santa Fe Ave. and Henry Rd. Escalon. It was <br />found that an illegal open burn, of a variety of waste material, had be conducted. <br />The property owner, Mr. Bill Lane, was contacted and informed of the violation of <br />District Rule 4103 (Open Burn).. <br />II Observations: <br />DATE: 6-6-98 <br />On June 6, 1998 at 5:09 PM the District on-call inspector (B. Tuter) <br />received a complaint (1998-6-35) through the after hours answering <br />service concerning a possible illegal burn at Santa Fe Ave. and Henry Rd., <br />Escalon CA. Inspector Tuter was unable to contact the complainant at the <br />phone number given. <br />DATE:6-8-98 <br />On June 8, 1998 Reporting Inspector Cadrett (R/1) attempted to follow up <br />on complaint 1998-6-35, but after several attempts was unable to contact <br />the complainant. <br />DATE -6-9-98 <br />1. On June 9,1998, Inspector Swartzendruber performed an investigation of <br />the open field west of the T -intersection formed by Santa Fe and Henry <br />Road (see attached map, attachment A). <br />2. While at the site inspector Swartzendruber observed several smoldering <br />piles of tree limbs, tree stumps, metal and plastic trash (see attached <br />photos, attachment B). <br />DATE -6-23-98 <br />On June 23, 1998, Escalon Consolidated Fire Protection District <br />responded to 23023 Santa Fe, Escalon.
