Santa Fe Road (APN 249-060-13) <br /> This letter is a response to the above referenced document that was submitted to the <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) on February 13,2004. The work plan is <br /> incomplete in the following areas. No site work is to resume or commence with out a <br /> work plan approved by the EHD. <br /> 1. The work plan does not detail the proposed site work to be conducted. The <br /> following is a list of items that should be included in the re-submittal for the site <br /> work plan. <br /> a. The areas that are going to be excavated need to be shown on a to scale <br /> drawing of the site. The anticipated depth of the excavation needs to be <br /> noted on the plan. <br /> b. Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad concurrence will be required if site <br /> work or excavation is within the 50 feet easement to nearest rail. <br /> c. Excavation at or near the railroad tracks must be specifically addressed in <br /> the work plan and be analyzed for stability by Professional Engineer. <br /> d. A Professional Engineer, Engineering Geologist or other registered <br /> professional, competent in current engineering practices must review and <br /> approve all site plans and drawings submitted to the EHD. <br /> e. Engineering sign-off upon completion of work. The engineering staff must <br /> oversee the site work. <br /> f. The offsite disposal or recycling facility must be declared as part of the <br /> work plan. <br /> g. Describe how the waste will be tracked when it is disposed of or recycled <br /> offsite. <br /> h. The areas that will be used to consolidate the waste must be indicated on <br /> the site drawings. <br /> i. The area used for consolidation of the waste has to be less than or equal to <br /> the area the waste occupies currently. Enlargement or expansion of the <br /> disposal area is prohibited. <br /> j. List the types of equipment to be used to conduct the site work. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
