Introduction <br />Please read this booklet carefully before beginning the <br />installation of the Hi -Flo® 2 water softener. It contains <br />important information about the unit, including instructions <br />covering installation, settings, start-up and operation. The <br />M -Flo 2 water softener has been thoughtfully designed and <br />engineered to provide soft, conditioned water for many years <br />when properly applied, installed and operated. <br />Throughout this manual, there are paragraphs set off by <br />special headings. <br />"NOTICE" These paragraphs are used to highlight special <br />procedures or provide additional explanations. <br />Example: <br />NOTICE: The pictures in this manual may not reflect some <br />actual components, due to a continuous effort to improve <br />our products. <br />"CAUTION" These paragraphs are used when failure to <br />follow instructions will result in damage to the system. <br />2 / HI-FLO 2 WATER SOFTENER <br />Example: <br />A CAUTION: High inlet water pressure or low <br />temperature may cause excessive media bed <br />expansion during backwash, resulting in loss of <br />media to drain. <br />"WARNING" These paragraphs are used when failure to <br />follow instructions may result in injury or death. <br />Example: <br />A WARNING! SHOCK HAZARD! DISCONNECT <br />POWER BEFORE REMOVING TIMER CASE. <br />The CAUTION and WARNING paragraphs are not meant <br />to cover all possible conditions and situations that may <br />occur. It must be understood that common sense, caution, <br />and careful attention are factors which cannot be built into <br />the equipment. These factors MUST be supplied by the <br />personnel installing, operating, or maintaining the system. <br />
