Introduction
Please read this booklet carefully before beginning the
installation of the Hi -Flo® 2 water softener. It contains
important information about the unit, including instructions
covering installation, settings, start-up and operation. The
M -Flo 2 water softener has been thoughtfully designed and
engineered to provide soft, conditioned water for many years
when properly applied, installed and operated.
Throughout this manual, there are paragraphs set off by
special headings.
"NOTICE" These paragraphs are used to highlight special
procedures or provide additional explanations.
Example:
NOTICE: The pictures in this manual may not reflect some
actual components, due to a continuous effort to improve
our products.
"CAUTION" These paragraphs are used when failure to
follow instructions will result in damage to the system.
2 / HI-FLO 2 WATER SOFTENER
Example:
A CAUTION: High inlet water pressure or low
temperature may cause excessive media bed
expansion during backwash, resulting in loss of
media to drain.
"WARNING" These paragraphs are used when failure to
follow instructions may result in injury or death.
Example:
A WARNING! SHOCK HAZARD! DISCONNECT
POWER BEFORE REMOVING TIMER CASE.
The CAUTION and WARNING paragraphs are not meant
to cover all possible conditions and situations that may
occur. It must be understood that common sense, caution,
and careful attention are factors which cannot be built into
the equipment. These factors MUST be supplied by the
personnel installing, operating, or maintaining the system.
