The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for J & J DISCOUNT TIRES as of October 25, 2022. <br /> Open violations from September 19, 2022 inspection <br /> Violation#605-Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with no label. The containers were: <br /> -One green 55 gallon metal steel drum was observed in the hazardous waste storage area with no label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#608-Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br /> OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br /> on-site. The following used metal oil or fuel filter containers were on-site: <br /> -One 55-gallon black steel drum with drain used oil filters was not closed with a ring and bolt. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br /> California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: [MODIFY AND ADD SPECIFIC DETAILS AS NECESSARY] Immediately drain all metal <br /> oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them in closed, rainproof containers. Label the container with the <br /> words"drained used oil filters"or"used gasoline filters", depending on the contents. Mark the container with an <br /> accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, <br /> handled and disposed of according to this section are regulated as hazardous waste.
