F,seape, disturbances, talCuV of hostages. <br /> a. In the event of an escape from the Manteca City Jail, the Watch Commander <br /> will insure that the Chief of Police, Operations Commander and Set-vices <br /> Commander are notified. An immediate search of the area will be conducted. <br /> Detectives will assist ixr the search for the escapee. <br /> b. If any hostages are taken, the Watch Commander will take whatever action is <br /> necessary to immediately contain the hostage(s)and hostage taker(s). <br /> 1. The Chief of Police, Operations Commander, Services Commander and <br /> BERT Team Commander will be notified, <br /> 2. AA hostage negotiator will be notified and requested to respond. <br /> 3. Any prisoners not involved in the hostage taking will be transfers ed to <br /> the San Joaquin County Jail as soon as is practical, <br /> c- Any disturban a involving more than one(])prisoner will be i_nunediately <br /> calmed. The disturbances may be controlled by separating those involved, the <br /> use of chemical agents, or transferring the prisoners to the San Joaquin County <br /> Jail. <br /> 3: In the event of any civil disturbance which threatens the security of the Manteca <br /> City Jail all prisoners will be transferred to the San Joaquin County Jail. <br /> 4. In the event of a natural disaster, including but not limited to, earthquakes, flood, <br /> windstorm, which damages or threatens the integrity of the Manteca Citv Jail, all <br /> prisoners will be transferred to the Satz Joaquin County Jail. <br /> Y. Weapons, Ammunition, Chemical Agents <br /> t- No weapons shall be stored or kept in the booking room or the jail facility except <br /> in locked gun lockers or locked evidence lockers. <br /> 2. No chennical agents are to be stared in the Manteca City Jail except the"MACE" <br /> canister carried on an officer's person. <br /> 3. No ammunition shall be stored in the Manteca City Jail except any ammunition <br /> carried on an officer's person. <br /> 4. No firearms will be worn while in the Manteca City Jail. Immediately upon the <br /> doer's entry, all firearms will be locked in a gun locker. <br /> Z. The Following General Orders Affect the Operation of the Jail Facility <br /> l' <br />
