Manteca Police Department <br /> Manteca PD Policy Manual <br /> Temporary Custody of Adults <br /> Dinner shall be served at or about 1800 hours and consist of a hamburger with lettuce and tomato, <br /> a small order of french fries and an 8 ounce carton of milk. <br /> Under no circumstances should a prisoner go more than 14 hours without a meal. <br /> Prisoner meals should never be physically prepared by department personnel and no inmate food <br /> will be stored on site. Unused or unwanted portions should be discarded. Under no circumstances <br /> should prisoner food be reheated, re-served or otherwise reused. <br /> 900.11 SUICIDE ATTEMPT, DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY <br /> The Operations Division Commander will ensure procedures are in place to address any suicide <br /> attempt, death or serious injury of any individual in temporary custody at the Manteca Police <br /> Department. The procedures should include the following: <br /> (a) Immediate request for emergency medical assistance if appropriate. <br /> (b) Immediate notification of the Watch Commander, Chief of Police and Investigations Division <br /> Commander. <br /> (c) Notification of the spouse, next of kin or other appropriate person. <br /> (d) Notification of the appropriate prosecutor. <br /> (e) Notification of the City Attorney. <br /> (f) Notification of the Coroner. <br /> (g) Evidence preservation. <br /> (h) In-custody death reviews (15 CCR 1046). <br /> (i) Notification to the Attorney General within 10 days of any death in custody including any <br /> reasonably known facts concerning the death (Government Code § 12525). <br /> 900.12 RELEASE AND/OR TRANSFER <br /> When an individual is released or transferred from custody, the member releasing the individual <br /> should ensure the followiing: <br /> (a) All required reports, forms and logs have been completed prior to release. <br /> (b) It has been confirmed that the correct individual is being released or transported. <br /> (c) All property, except evidence, contraband or dangerous weapons, has been returned to, or <br /> sent with the individual, as appropriate. <br /> (d) All pertinent documentation accompanies the individual being transported to another facility <br /> (e.g., copies of booking forms, medical records, an itemized list of his/her property, warrant <br /> copies). <br /> (e) The individual is not permitted in any nonpublic areas of the Manteca Police Department <br /> unless escorted by a member of the Department. <br /> Copyright Lexipol,LLC 2017/08/31,All Rights Reserved.
