GENERAL ORDER NO.089-164 8 <br /> b. If any hostages are taken, the Watch <br /> Commander will take whatever action is <br /> necessary to immediately contain the <br /> hostage(s) and hostage taker(s) . <br /> ( 1) . The Chief of Police, Patrol <br /> Commander, Services Commander and <br /> SERT Team Commander will be <br /> notified. <br /> (2 ) . A hostage negotiator will be <br /> notified and requested to <br /> respond. <br /> (3) . Any prisoners not involved in the <br /> hostage taking will be <br /> transferred to the San Joaquin <br /> County Jail as soon as is <br /> practical . <br /> C . Any disturbance involving more than <br /> one( 1) prisoner will be immediately <br /> calmed. The disturbances may be <br /> controlled by separating those <br /> involved, the use of chemical agents, <br /> or transferring the prisoners to the <br /> San Joaquin County Jail . <br /> 3 . In the event of any civil disturbance which <br /> threatens the security of the Manteca City <br /> Jail all prisoners will be transferred to <br /> the San Joaquin County Jail . <br /> 4 . In the event of a natural disaster, <br /> including but not limited to, earthquakes, <br /> flood, windstorm, which damages or <br /> threatens the integrity of the Manteca City <br /> Jail, all prisoners will be transferred to <br /> the San Joaquin County Jail . <br /> Y. Weapons, Ammunition, Chemical Agents <br /> 1 . No weapons shall be stored or kept in the <br /> Booking Room or the Jail facility except in <br /> locked gun lockers or locked evidence <br /> lockers . <br /> 2 . No chemical agents are to be stored in the <br /> Manteca City Jail except the "MACE" <br /> canister carried on a Officers person. <br /> 3 . No ammunition shall be stored in the <br /> Manteca City Jail except any ammunition <br /> carried on a Officers person. <br /> 4 . No firearms will be worn while in the <br /> Manteca City Jail.
