Donoho, R.E.H.S.#6227 <br /> (530) 701-9972 <br /> THE FOLLOWING OUTLINE LISTS KEY POINTS OF THE RECOMMENDED AND/OR REQUIRED <br /> INSPECTIONS <br /> MAINTENANCE and MONITORING FOR THIS SYSTEM <br /> These Maintenance Inspections are to be performed by a Certified individual trained in the upkeep of this type of <br /> system. <br /> 1.) All Tanks(including Grease Trap) are to be inspected and evaluated on a recuring schedule as listed in the <br /> Orenco®O&M Manual for Commercial Advantex®systems.The inspection items shall include at a <br /> minimum: <br /> a.) Scum and Sludge measurements(pumped as needed) <br /> b.) Indication of water intrusion. <br /> c.) Integrity of tank, including observation for: <br /> 1.) Cracks or indications of structural deterioration <br /> 2.) Conditions of inlet"T" and outlet filter <br /> 3.) Condition of lids <br /> 4.) Indication of leaks in risers <br /> 2.) It is required that the AX100 filters and associated equipment(i.e. chemical feeders) recirc pumps,control <br /> panel, etc.)also be inspected by the above listed Orenco°guidelines. These inspections are also to be <br /> performed by a Certified Proprietary Device Licensee or an Operation, Monitoring and Maintenance <br /> Specialist. These inspections are to make sure that all wiring and equipment is functioning normally. This <br /> inspection will include all items listed in the Orenco°0&M manual for AdvanTex°AX100 filters as well as <br /> other O&M manuals for associated equipment. <br /> 3.) The monitoring wells in the disposal filed shall be maintained and inspected for standing water and logged <br /> along with other measurements and readings. <br /> 4.) It is also required (to show compliance)that the effluent out of the System be sampled for reduction of <br /> TSS,BOD5 and Nitrates these tests shall be done on a recommended frequency <br /> 5.) Other requirements as may be required by the San Joaquin environmental Health Department. <br /> THE FOLLOWING ARE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE SYSTEM OWNER <br /> 1. If at any time an audible or visual alarm is detected you should make certain that your Certified <br /> Operation, Monitoring and Maintenance Specialist has received notification to take corrective action. <br /> 2. The Owner needs to protect the disposal field and tank and filter area from ANY Vehicular traffic. <br /> 3. The field area can support grass and some non-invasive flowering plants, but it should be kept free of <br /> invasive weeds, brush and new tree growth. <br /> 4. All areas of the system should be maintained in good condition between inspections. <br /> 5. The filter air vents should be kept open and protected. <br />
