The system should not be abused by discarding anything but septic approved tissue and organic waste <br /> into the tank. <br /> The Owner must also adhere to the following requirements for advance systems <br /> The System Owner is responsible as follows: <br /> a. System owner must use the on-site system in conformance with its design parameters <br /> b. Participate in the OM&M program as outlined in this document. <br /> c. Assure continued operation and maintenance of their on-site wastewater system <br /> d. consistent with the On-Site Wastewater Ordinance and this Manual <br /> e. Must report any system malfunctions resulting in surfacing sewage to the LEA within 24 hours of <br /> discovery. <br /> f. Must contact an OM&M Specialist within 24 hours of discovering the following conditions that could <br /> indicate system malfunction requiring major system repair: <br /> (1) Persistent and excessive odor of sewage <br /> (2) Activation of the system audible and/or visual alarm <br /> (3) Wastewater backing up into the plumbing fixtures,toilets not flushing properly, or sink <br /> drains not functioning <br /> f. Must obtain permits, procure services,and pay fees as may be necessary to correct deficiencies in the <br /> on-site system identified by the LEA or the OM&M Specialist <br />
