THE WORMS ARE ABOUT 1/4 INCH <br />LONG. WHITE. THERE MAY BE MORE, BUT ONLY THREE WERE TAKEN OUT. THE FOOD WAS PICKED UP ABOUT <br />12:30 PM. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodbome illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION --TEMP ° F --COMMENTS <br />No Temperature Data Collected <br />NOTES <br />Arrived to facility and spoke to employee in the front service area. She was unaware of the alleged complaint. I inspected the <br />spicy beef, won ton soup, and other entrees in the buffet area. I was unable to find any worms or larvae. Bing Wen, owner, <br />arrived shortly after. He assisted in looking through raw food items such as broccoli, beef, and bok choy. We were able to <br />identify three black-colored worm-like insects that resemble caterpillars and are about one centimeter in length. Bing stated <br />that most likely they were the adult version of the larvae found by complainant. He voluntarily discarded all bok choy the <br />facility had on premises, cooked and in storage. The facility will no longer offer bok choy on the menu. <br />Inspection report emailed to owner. <br />To minimize person-to-person contact, EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the official inspection report <br />instead obtaining a signature. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
