A PARENT CALLED THE SCHOOL AND INDICATED HER CHILDREN WERE HAVING DIARRHEAAND VOMITING <br />WHEN THEY GOT HOME FROM SCHOOL ON MAY 12,2022. SHE TOOK HER CHILDREN TO THE DOCTOR AND THE DOCTOR DIAGNOSED <br />THEM WITH FOOD POISONING. THE PARENT ALLEGED THAT THE CHILDREN ONLY ATE MEALS AT SCHOOL ON MAY 12. BREAKFAST ON <br />05/12/22 WAS A SHELF STABLE COFFEE CAKE, GRAHAM CRACKER, SHELF STABLE JUICE BOX, AND WHITE MILK. LUNCH WAS A CHOICE <br />BETWEEN TURKEY TACO, CHEESE PILLOW PULLAPART, OR PERSONAL PIZZA. Met with kitchen lead, MURO <br />Victoria Ramirez. Discussed complaint and was allowed to conduct an inspection <br />of the school's dry storage room, food log records, cold storage temperatures, <br />sanitizing solution, and potable water temperatures for sanitizing and hand <br />washing. Victoria went over the food preparation from the time it is received from <br />Lathrop High School through the time of serving to the students. Victoria reported <br />that no employees were sick during the time the food borne illnesses were <br />reported, nor were any employees currently ill. Victoria's food safety certification is <br />current; expires on November 17, 2026. <br />Ware wash sanitizing level: 100 PPM Chlorine <br />Sanitizing Bucket: 100 PPM Chlorine <br />Complaint inspection report was emailed to kitchen lead. <br />05/19/2022 Received a call from kitchen lead, Victoria Ramirez. She wanted to dispute the <br />sanitizing solution bucket which was tested during the complaint investigation and <br />observed as 100 PPM chlorine, which is within the health code requirement. She <br />stated that they are required to have 200 PPM chlorine, but i explained they are <br />not in violation. <br />I later received emails from the school district, Laura Howe asking if the complaint <br />report needs to be posted. responded to her emails. <br />MURO <br />5105.rpt Page 1 of 1
