This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. The hazardous waste generator must submit a copy of the manifest <br /> to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)within 60 days if the destination facility signed <br /> manifest copy is not received from the transporter or designated facility. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: IT Assistant Administrator Larry Borelli accessed the DTSC website under guidance from <br /> EHD during the inspection to get access to the missing manifest. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Used oil was observed on the shop floor from a hydraulic leak. Absorbent was placed on part of <br /> the release but it was not cleaned up. <br /> Used oil was observed underneath a compressor. The compressor had absorbent placed around it but the release <br /> was not cleaned up. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately fix the leaks and clean up the releases. Manage the waste according to Title <br /> 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
