o 3M
GG & SVM % IXNNM
Attn: Dan Hepler
Great Pacific Nut Company
P.O. Box 1005
Westley, CA 95387
Date: 5/31/2019
Subject: Nut Processing Facility, Great Pacific Nut Company, 3501 W. Lehman Road,
Tracy, CA 95387
RE: Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Evaluation dated 5/15/2019 prepared by CTE
CAL, INC.
The Conclusions as stated in the Evaluation Report "Based on these results, it is our
professional opinion that soil conditions are not adequate for use of a conventional
septic tank/leach trench sewage disposal system and other options (e.g., engineered
systems) per SJEHD criteria should be pursued for this site."
The proposed septic system for this project has been engineered to allow for the poor
percolation result in the area of the proposed leach field. The septic filter bed material
will be sand, replacing the native material. Scarify any hard soil surfaces and rough
chisel the native existing ground material, and till the basal area to a minimum 6" below
grade in depth of the septic filter bed area. These modifications from a conventional
system, should allow the system to operate adequately for the proposed use.
Sincerely,
ROFESSrON
A
William D.
