8.0 IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
The following sources of past, current, on-site, and off-site contamination have
been identified as a result of this investigation:
1
2
3
Identified Contamination Source Evaluation
The Site has been used for
agriculture since 1937 or earlier. A
variety of agricultural chemicals
have been applied to the Site
during the past five years,
according to the San Joaquin
County Agricultural
Commissioner's office. (Current
and past on-site)
Some of the structures at 22770
South Frederick may date to pre -
1937, based on aerial photos
reviewed. Many of the structures
at 22844 South Frederick were
constructed in the 1970s and
1980s. An old barn was present on
the Site until about 28 years ago,
and a mobile home was present in
the 1990s. (Current and past on-
site)
Two domestic wells, two irrigation
wells, and three septic systems are
located on the Site. An older
domestic well at 22844 South
Frederick and a septic system at a
former mobile home were once
located on the Site. (Current and
past on-site)
As with any agricultural property,
agricultural chemical residues may
be present in Site soils from
previous applications. The typical
standard of care for SSCRs does
not require further investigation of
agricultural use.
For any structures or former
structures dating from the 1980s or
earlier, the assumption is made that
lead -containing materials and/or
pesticide residues may be present
in the vicinity of the structures. It is
also possible that underground
infrastructure may remain in the
vicinity of former structures. The
typical standard of care for SSCRs
does not require any further
investigation of current or former
structures.
The existing four wells and three
septic systems are currently in use.
No further information was identified
about the former septic system or
well.
LOGE 2232 12
