APPENDIX "A" <br /> RESPONSE TO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH <br /> SERVICES REPORT DATED APRIL 14, 1982 <br /> The referenced report is the report of the Department of <br /> Health Services (DOHS) on its February 24, 1982 inspection. <br /> The basic conclusion of the report is on Page 2: "Overall, <br /> the facility appears to be a good operation with no significant <br /> problems. " This conclusion was reaffirmed by a telephone call to <br /> the reporting agency on May 3, 1982 . The telephone call reaffirmed <br /> that the site operation was in substantial compliance. <br /> The report requests that explanations be provided for the <br /> minor deficiencies noted by May 29, 1982, and this will be done. <br /> The following are comments on points discussed in the report <br /> and cover letter. <br /> 1 . "No submission of reports on the results of sampling <br /> soils within the designated area around the hazardous waste site <br /> as prescribed in the DOHS permit.
