HAZELTON AVE., STOCKTON, CALIF. 95205, PHONE 944.3722, (AREA CODE 209) <br /> June 15, 1982 <br /> Forward, Inc, <br /> 403 South Lincoln Street <br /> Stockton, CA 95203 <br /> Attention: Gregory Basso <br /> Dear Mr. Basso: <br /> On Thursday, June 10, 1982, representatives of the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District and County Planning Department met with <br /> you and reviewed your existing disposal site, located on Austin <br /> Road, in order to identify conditions not completely in compliance <br /> with Use Permit No. U-73®9 granted you on February 15, 1973® <br /> In addition to standard conditions, the conditions of approval are <br /> s follows: <br /> 1. The site shall be prepared and operated in accordance with <br /> recommendations pres'"Geotechnical <br /> nted in the report prepared by CON <br /> ASSOCIATES entitled °° e technical Investigation and Waste <br /> Management Studies, " Proposed 157 -- Acre Class II-I Disposal <br /> site, Stockton, California, for Forward, Inc., dated <br /> July 7, 1972, including proposed berms for flood protection® <br /> 2® The building shall be flood proofed to protect the building <br /> from Intermediate Regional Flood, now estimated to be <br /> flooding less than 2 feet deep on the average® <br /> 3® A Development Plan indicating the on--site roadways and <br /> parking areas, location of all buildings and structures <br /> involved in monitoring the operation, depth and height of <br /> landfill, protective berms, fences and landscaping propose <br /> to reduce noise, approved by the Planning Director. <br /> 4® Public and vehicular traffic shall be routed in the recovery <br /> station and not directly to the disposal site® <br /> 5. Surface run-off of storm waters from the disposal site shall <br /> be drained to South Little John Creek. <br /> 6. Berms shall be maintained at heights that will prevent refuse <br /> from being carried downstream during high water® <br /> 7. Subject to all requirements of the Local Health District and <br /> subject to application and permit conditions as per Ordinance <br /> 877 and Rules and Regulations for operation of a Sanitary <br /> Landfill. <br />
