e
t
MR. BOB FUJII
May 2 , 1983
Page Four
. at the same time work on the surface drainage
system is being completed. We have already
spent approximately one week between rainstorms
working in the Group II disposal area in an
effort to eliminate ponding and establish some
surface drainage. The surface runoff from this
area has been conducted through a series of ditches
and underdrains into the evaporation pond system
and there has been no escape of contaminated
water from the site. This was established at
the request of your staff and has been inspected
on numerous occasions by representatives from all
concerned regulatory agencies.
It. was our intention to schedule work on the above
items in early April, 1983 and we intended to complete work
on all possible projects prior to the upcoming hearing of
your Board in Stockton on May 27. Weather conditions
however, have not permitted mobilization of the necessary
equipment and. we now expect that all work in Items #1
through #8 above will be completed by August 31, 1983.
Ve y truly your ,
JOHN W. STOVALL
for
NEUMILLER & BEARDSLEE
- A PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION
JWS/djk
c
r rn
rn
