Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Facility does not have a hand washing station. Kitchen staff stated they wash their hands in the <br /> 1-compartment warewashing sink. Paper towel dispenser is on the opposite side of the sink and not immediately accessible. <br /> Provide plans for a complete hand washing station,with hot and cold water supplies,wall mounted fully enclosed single <br /> service hand towel dispenser,wall mounted liquid or powder hand soap dispenser, immediately accessible from the food <br /> preparation area. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br /> maintained in good repair. One employee is <br /> required to have a food manager certification 60 days from start of operation.All other employees handling food should <br /> obtain the 3-year Food Handler Certification within 30 days from date of hire. This is a repeat violation from the inspection on <br /> 10-13-2021. <br /> Correct within 21 days. Provide a copy of a valid 5-year food manager's certificate and food handler certificates to <br /> cmuro@sjgov.org. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br /> assigned duties.
