(Ground Zero). The Former Skips Service Station,
also known as the Olivarez Property and H&S Auto, is located at 300 South California
Street in Stockton (Site).
In the Work Plan, Ground Zero proposes to advance five (5) direct -push cone
penetration testing (CPT) borings to collect CPT logging data and to collect four depth
discrete grab groundwater samples from each boring location. Five boreholes will be
advanced at each location, one borehole will be utilized for CPT logging and the other
four will be utilized for depth discrete sampling. Only one grab groundwater sample will
be collected from each borehole to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
Ground Zero proposes to advance the logging borehole to 125 feet below ground
surface. Depth discrete samples will be collected from the depth intervals identified as
A, B, and C for previous depth discrete samples collected from borings CPT -8 through
CPT -11 and a deeper sample designated as D. These previous depth discrete
sampling depths are A zone 30 to 46 ft bgs, B zone 50 to 56 ft bgs, and C zone 72 to 86
ft bgs. Ground Zero anticipates collection of the D depth discrete sample between 92
and 100 feet bgs.
Central Valley Water Board staff has the following comments.
1.
