HENNIS, R.E.A., CAC <br />Principal <br />B.A. Geography/Environmental Planning, 1987 <br />California State University, Chico <br />Mr. Hennis has over twenty-two years of professional experience in the asbestos, hazardous <br />material and environmental consulting field. He has provided project management for more <br />than 500 environmental assessments; has managed, designed, and conducted asbestos <br />assessments of more than 18 million square feet of commercial, industrial, and residential <br />facilities. Mr. Hennis has personally conducted, designed and/or managed over 500 air - <br />monitoring projects, asbestos/lead removal projects and/or facility demolition/renovation <br />projects. Mr. Hennis has a complete understanding of regulatory issues relating to asbestos, <br />lead and other hazardous materials commonly identified during facility demolition/restoration <br />projects and he understands what it takes to obtain successful project completion. Mr. Hennis' <br />project experience is presented below. <br />Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Management Services <br />• As a Cal-DOSH Certified Asbestos Consultant, Mr. Hennis designed and managed asbestos <br />and hazardous materials remediation project prior to and during demolition of former <br />medical care facility. The project involved performing a pre -demolition asbestos, lead paint <br />and other hazardous materials assessment at an operating health care facility. The initial <br />assessment (survey) was conducted in a manner that would not impact on-going operations <br />at the clinic. Once vacant, a second visual inspection and sampling were conducted to <br />identify and asses the extent of hazardous materials. Once the assessment was complete, <br />CAC prepared hazardous materials remediation specifications and provided assistance to <br />the client in selecting the remediation contractor. CAC then provided on-site monitoring and <br />provided guidance to the selected contractor for the duration of the remediation activities. <br />The remediation project was completed within the planned schedule and within budget <br />constraints. <br />• Managed and designed an asbestos remediation project at a former sugar beet processing <br />plant where asbestos was negligently disposed of about the exterior grounds of the facility. <br />The remediation project was monitored closely by the U.S. EPA and Cal -OSHA as statutory <br />and criminal penalties were imposed on the parties involved. The project involved a <br />significant level of communication with the U.S. EPA and Cal -OSHA representatives. The <br />project was completed within time and budgetary constraints with complete approval of the <br />regulatory agencies. <br />• Mr. Hennis regularly teaches asbestos related training courses. Mr. Hennis has been <br />teaching asbestos related training courses including Initial Operations and Maintenance <br />(O&M) 16 -Hour Training, and Refresher Courses for Inspector/Management Planner, <br />Contractor/Supervisor (Competent Person), and O&M Personnel since 1999. <br />CAC/ HENNIS.DOC <br />6/30/10 <br />
