Landfill, Use Permit No. UP-73-9,
Your Letter of May 21, 1990
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In your letter, you asked at what point the Planning Division might
require a new use permit and become the lead agency for purposes
of environmental review. The present use permit authorizes an
operation level of 500 tons per day. If the applicant proposes to
exceed this level, then a new use permit would be required. For
processing of the use permit, the Planning Division would become
the lead agency for purposes of CEQA. I hope that this response
addresses your concerns. If you have further questions, please let
me know.
CD:HI:ka
