DRAFT Geosyntec <br /> consultants <br /> 1. INTRODUCTION <br /> Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. (Geosyntec) has prepared this Soil and Soil Vapor Investigation— <br /> Underground Storage Tank(UST) 817E Report(Report) on behalf of the Port of Stockton(the <br /> Port). This Report summarizes soil and soil vapor data collected in 2019 at former UST 817B <br /> located on Rough and Ready Island(RRI) in Stockton, California(the Site, Figure 1). <br /> Geosyntec conducted the soil and soil vapor investigations in accordance with the Final UST <br /> Data Gap Investigation Work Plan— UST Sites 605, 517, 916B, 817E (Data Gap Work Plan; <br /> Geosyntec, 2019a), submitted to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) on January 22, 2019, and Soil Vapor Sampling Work Plan— UST Site 817B (Soil <br /> Vapor Work Plan; Geosyntec, 2019b), submitted to the CVRWQCB on May 2, 2019. <br /> In addition, to illustrate the previous activities at 81713, this Report presents a summary of the <br /> historical investigations that were undertaken at UST 817B by the United States Navy, as the <br /> former Site owner and operator, and the prior to the Port's involvement with RRI. <br /> This Report is organized into the following sections: <br /> • Section 2— Site Background; <br /> • Section 3 — Summary of Previous Investigations; <br /> • Section 4—Data Gap Investigation; <br /> • Section 5 — Soil Vapor Investigation; <br /> • Section 6—Conclusions and Recommendations; and <br /> • Section 7—References. <br /> Draft Soil and Soil Vapor Investigation 1 August 30,2019 <br />
