The scope of
work includes the advancement of seven (7) soil borings for the collection of soil, soil -
vapor and groundwater samples, and preparation of a report.
This work plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department (EHD) application for drilling permit. A plan of the site with proposed
soil boring locations is presented in Figure 1.
2.0 SCOPE OF WORK
During performance of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, AGI identified several
areas of potential environmental concern including a wash rack, a paint booth and a diesel
above -ground storage tank and dispensing area. Based on these findings, a preliminary
investigation is being conducted at the site to determine if historical site usage has
impacted the subsurface. The following tasks include:
• Permitting and pre -field work activities.
• A total of two (2) soil borings (131, 62) will be advanced 10 to 15 feet below surface
grade (bsg) near the wash rack area for collection of soil and grab groundwater
samples
• A total of three soil borings (133, B4 and 135) will be advanced near the diesel fueling
area. Two of the borings will be advanced to a depth of 5 feet bsg for collection of
soil samples. A third boring will be advanced 10 to 15 feet bsg for collection of soil
and grab groundwater samples.
• A total of two (2) soil borings (136 and 137) will be advanced to a total depth of 5
feet bsg near the paint booth area for collection of soil -vapor samples.
• A report of findings will be prepared documenting the results of the investigation.
Each of these tasks are described in greater detail below.
2.1. PERMITTING AND PRE -FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment drilling permits will be obtained from the EHD. Also, a site-
specific Health and Safety Plan will be prepared.
