cannot access the area, sampling locations will be based on as-built building plans, owner knowledge, and
property conditions. These locations will not be exempted from hand digging.
3.2.3 Health and Safety Plan and Meetings
Appendix A contains the site-specific health and safety plan (HASP) for use by personnel during
implementation of the work plan. The HASP is consistent with Occupational Health and Safety
Administration and the California Occupational Health and Safety Administration guidelines. The HASP
will be reviewed by field staff and contractors prior to the commencement of fieldwork.
Daily tailgate safety meetings will be held before starting work. Field staff, including subcontractors, will
attend these meetings and sign a tailgate safety meeting form. Other visitors such as RWQCB, inspectors,
or personnel that visit the Site during the course of the day will be given a safety briefing by the APTIM
field staff and asked to sign the HASP prior to entering the work site or else remain outside the work
zones.
3.2.4 Temporary Facilities
APTIM assumed no temporary facilities will be needed at the Site. It is assumed restrooms will be utilized
off site and water will be available at the Site. Security fencing is not necessary.
3.2.5 Traffic Control
Work performed in or near roadways will be coordinated with the City of Ripon, local tenants, and/or
other stakeholders to implement appropriate traffic control and lane closures as needed for public and
Site personnel safety.Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal along Locust Avenue. Right of way lane
closures and traffic diversions may be required during installation of soil gas probes and soil borings for
groundwater samples. Where needed,APTIM will utilize safety cones and flagging while installing soil gas
probes and advancing soil borings.
Upon approval of sampling locations, if needed, a traffic plan will be prepared and submitted to the City
of Ripon for approval.
FINAL RIPON PCE INVESTIGATION WORK PLAN.DOCX 3-2 PROJECT NO.631021512
