contractor/subcontractor will be notified verbally and in writing if a safety violation is observed. The <br /> subcontractor shall have these violations corrected within the time frame noted and shall sign and enter <br /> the date on which the item was corrected and return the signed inspection reports so items can be <br /> rechecked. Failure to correct the violations and to return the signed inspection reports may result in <br /> termination of contract. <br /> General Safety Requirements <br /> Additionally,the subcontractor is responsible for assuring the following: <br /> • Designating a safety representative to work onsite during all activities. The contractor's safety <br /> representative shall have competent person experience and the authority to implement corrective <br /> action. <br /> • Providing APTIM Project Manager with written procedures for the specific tasks they will perform; <br /> e.g. work plan and JSA. <br /> • Issuing confined space entry, hot work or other work permits, if necessary, to their employees and <br /> submitting copies to APTIM for review. <br /> • Performing all the necessary air monitoring to support confined space entry requirements, <br /> excavation, hot work, lead exposure, asbestos abatement other hazardous work activities. <br /> • Ensuring, via daily inspections, that all work conditions, practices and equipment are free of <br /> hazards. The contractor's supervisor and safety representative shall correct unsafe acts and <br /> conditions as they appear. <br /> • Providing APTIM with copies of SDS for all operational chemicals and hazardous materials brought <br /> on-site. <br /> • Providing all the required personal protective equipment for their employees. <br /> • Providing daily and weekly safety briefing to their workers and subcontractor personnel. <br /> • Participating in weekly safety meetings. <br /> • Reporting all negative occurrence incidents, including near misses, first aid, medical, equipment, <br /> vehicle, property, and environmental to client and APTIM, immediately. <br /> 3-6 <br />
