4. Immediately wash hands and dispose of any contaminated PPE. <br /> 5. Report the spill to your immediate supervisor. <br /> if any person has been contaminated by the spill, especially eyes and skin, you <br /> must ask for First Response Personnel: <br /> 1. Assist the contaminated person(s) to a safe eyewash station to wash the <br /> contamination away. <br /> 2. Notify your supervisor immediately. If he or she is not available, contact <br /> the proper first responders. <br /> 3. Remain with contaminated person until supervisor and or fist responders <br /> arrive. They will rely on you to explain what happened, as well as to inform <br /> them of the quantity and location of the spill. <br /> 4. The First Responders shall then evaluate the spill quantity and location for <br /> feasibility of complete remediation. <br /> 5. Upon evaluation, the First Responders will clean up the spill using approved <br /> spill cleanup kits and personal protective equipment. <br /> HANDLING HAZARDOUS WASTE <br /> • All items used in the spill cleanup shall be placed into a suitable container <br /> and labeled with the appropriate hazardous waste information. <br /> • All hazardous waste containers should be placed into s Satellite <br /> Accumulation area for safe keeping. <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
