screened or “open hole” below the steel casing.
3. Well MW-7 was installed by Secor/West Hazmat drilling in August 2000. Since that time,
improvements to the residence have been made that make access to the well impossible,
including shade awnings, fencing, etc. Overhead lines also prevent appropriate clearances
needed by the drilling rig(see photos attached).

For the reasons stated above (proximity to domestic well, unknown details of domestic well, and lack
of access to overdrill the well) Condor request a variance from EHD’s monitoring well destruction
guidelines to destroy well MW-7 by pressure grouting without the use of explosives. We are on-site
at this very moment and have just completed well destructions for all other monitoring wells and
request your decision today so that we will not need to re-mobilize to the site. I apologize for the
short notice, as we were only informed of these concerns late yesterday afternoon.

Thank you very much for your quick consideration.

Best,

John Lane, PG
Condor EarthOffice: 209-938-1061
Mobile: 209-743-7443
jlane@condorearth.com

From: John Lane
Sent: Wednesday, November 3, 2021 9:36 AM
To: Jeff Wong, [EHD] <Jwong@sjgov.org>; agooderham@sjgov.org; Kaleb Ledford
<kledford@condorearth.com>; Luke Castle <lcastle@condorearth.com>
Subject: Ranch Market MW-7 Well Destruction

Jeff,

I just left a long voicemail re concerns about explosives on MW-7 expressed by home owner.
