Santa Fe Rd, Riverbank
John ‐

My apologies for my late response on this. Given the nature of the Barrera's Market case, once we are able to
do the investigation, I am not expecting to find anything that will impede case closure, we just need to check
all the boxes. Additionally, the current RP likely won't have the financial ability to destroy the well himself. As
such, I concur with your destroying MW‐7 along with the rest of the Ranch Market wells.

Alan M. Santa Fe Rd, Riverbank

EXTERNAL:

Alan,

Thank you for the directive letter for the former Ranch Market site at 23569 S. Santa Fe Road, Riverbank, San Joaquin
County. We are currently preparing the work plan and permit package to destroy the remaining wells. We would like to
re‐evaluate the status of well MW‐7, and propose that it be destroyed along with other Site wells for the following
reasons:

1. The proximity of MW‐7 to Mr. Cano’s domestic supply well. Without a monitoring program that provides
opportunity for regular inspection and maintenance of the monitoring well, well MW‐7 poses greater potential
to introduce surface contaminants to the shallow water table.
