Sampling and Analysis Plan for
Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
South Pointe Property: 701, 705, 833, 855 West Weber Avenue
Stockton, California
Project and Data Quality Objectives
May 17, 2021
3.4 DATA REVIEW AND VALIDATION
Because of the limited scope, duration, and investigative nature of the project, data will not undergo
validation by a third party but will be evaluated by the Stantec project team. Data validation procedures
are fully described in the project QAPP and are summarized below.
• Project data will be subject to a Tier 1 review. Tier 2 review will be limited to review of the DQI
acceptance parameters detailed in Table 3-3, or as deemed necessary based on completion of
the Tier 1 review.
• Field data will be verified by the Stantec QA manager by reviewing field documentation, COC
records, field instrument calibration records, etc. Any deviations from acceptance criteria will be
noted in the case narrative. The QA manager will also verify the use of blanks and duplicates.
• Laboratory data will be validated by the Stantec QA manager, a process which will identify data
as being acceptable, of limited usability, qualified/estimated, or rejected. Data validation
procedures used by the project analytical laboratories are described in the project QAPP.
• Potential types of corrective action needed to address unusable data may include resampling or
reanalysis of samples. Corrective actions will be considered based on factors such as feasibility
and the degree to which flagged data is critical to decision-making. Should Stantec's QA manager
identify a situation requiring corrective action, the Stantec project manager will be responsible for
approving implementation of the corrective action and confirming the action's effectiveness.
Is DATA MANAGEMENT
The Stantec QA manager will review field notes and laboratory analytical reports. Data validation reports
and laboratory data summary sheets will be included in the final assessment report. Before submittal, the
assessment report will undergo technical and independent review, and record of those reviews will be
included in the final deliverable. The technical and independent reviews will ensure that data have been
reported and discussed correctly. The electronic laboratory report will be available as an Excel
spreadsheet or comma-separated values (csv)file.
3.6 ASSESSMENT OVERSIGHT
The assessment oversight and review framework are described in the project QAPP. Key roles and
responsibilities are summarized in Table 3-6 below.
M
Project No.: 185704833.5.3&5.4 3.1
