Sampling and Analysis Plan for <br /> Phase II Environmental Site Assessment <br /> South Pointe Property: 701, 705, 833, 855 West Weber Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Sample Documentation <br /> May 17, 2021 <br /> 9.0 SAMPLE DOCUMENTATION <br /> 9.1 FIELD NOTES <br /> 9.1.1 Field Logbooks <br /> Field staff will maintain a logbook or equivalent system to record pertinent data and information pertaining <br /> to sampling and field investigation activities at the site. Field notes will be maintained in the project file in <br /> hard copy and electronic formats. Daily field reports will record time onsite, staff and subcontractor <br /> operations, general observations regarding workflow and daily accomplishments, and any notable <br /> variances from planned activities. Test pit and borehole logs will be used to record observations related to <br /> subsurface investigation activities including soil type (in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification <br /> System), observations regarding the presence of suspected fill materials, visual/olfactory evidence of <br /> chemical impact, and selected sample intervals. Field notes will also contain the following information <br /> regarding sampling activities: <br /> • Sample location and description <br /> • Site or sampling area sketch showing sample location and measured distances <br /> • Sampler's name(s) <br /> • Date and time of sample collection <br /> • Designation of sample (composite or grab) <br /> • Type of sample (soil, soil vapor) <br /> • Type of sampling equipment used <br /> • Field instrument readings and calibration <br /> • Field observations and details related to analysis or integrity of samples (e.g., weather conditions, <br /> noticeable odors, colors, etc.) <br /> • Preliminary sample descriptions (e.g., soil type and moisture level) <br /> • Lot numbers of the sample containers, sample identification numbers and any explanatory codes, <br /> and chain-of-custody form numbers <br /> • Shipping arrangements (overnight air bill number) <br /> • Name(s)of recipient laboratory(ies) <br /> In addition to the sampling information, the following specific information will also be recorded in the field <br /> logbook for each day of sampling: <br /> B <br /> Project No.: 185704833.5.3&5.4 9.1 <br />
