Sampling and Analysis Plan for <br /> Phase II Environmental Site Assessment <br /> South Pointe Property: 701, 705, 833, 855 West Weber Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Disposal of Residual Materials <br /> May 17, 2021 <br /> 8.0 DISPOSAL OF RESIDUAL MATERIALS <br /> In the process of collecting environmental, the sampling team will generate different types of potentially <br /> contaminated investigation derived waste (IDW)that include the following: <br /> • Used personal protective equipment (PPE) <br /> • Disposable sampling equipment <br /> • Decontamination fluids <br /> • Soil cuttings from soil borings <br /> The USEPA's National Contingency Plan (NCP) requires that management of IDW generated during <br /> sampling comply with applicable or relevant and appropriate requirements (ARARs)to the extent <br /> practicable. The sampling plan will follow the Office of Emergency and Remedial Response (OERR) <br /> Directive 9345.3-02 (May 1991), which provides the guidance for the management of IDW. In addition, <br /> other legal and practical considerations that may affect the handling of IDW will be considered. <br /> • Used PPE and disposable equipment will be double bagged and placed in a municipal refuse <br /> dumpster. These wastes are not considered hazardous and can be sent to a municipal landfill. <br /> Any PPE and disposable equipment that is to be disposed of which can still be reused will be <br /> rendered inoperable before disposal in the refuse dumpster. <br /> • Decontamination rinsate and cuttings from soil borings will be placed in steel 55-gallon drums and <br /> characterized for appropriate offsite disposal. <br /> `1 Project No.: 185704833.5.3&5.4 8.1 <br />
