SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Brenten Barmettler of <br /> Sierra Vista Construction to conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for <br /> the property located at 24363 North Leadstone Drive, Acampo, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report cover <br /> and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has been <br /> designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist and <br /> Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed in accordance with the requirements <br /> of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> Sierra Vista is constructing a new home and a small guest house on the Site (Plate 2). <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is defined as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 005-360-02, 2.00 acres in size. <br /> It is located at 24363 North Leadstone Drive, Acampo, California. <br /> A shop building and gravel driveway are currently located on the Site. A domestic well <br /> and a septic system serve the shop. Construction has begun on the new houses (Plate <br /> 3). <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 55 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 4). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned R-R, <br /> Rural Residential. This zoning designation "is intended to provide for large lot rural <br /> homesites within or adjacent to existing Rural Communities. Lots will generally have <br /> sufficient area to allow for individual water supply, sewage disposal, and storm water <br /> drainage, but not to support significant commercial agriculture." <br /> LOGE 2245 Page 1 <br />
