Site Description and Background paragraph 3:
Ponder collected a total of ten soil samples from six locations, but the Sampling Plan only mentions eight samples from
four locations. Please add information about the two other soil samples collected by Ponder from the canal. These
samples were collected from either end of the excavated portion of the drainage ditch and from a depth of 12 inches.
Site Description and Background paragraph 4:
Please add a sentence clarifying the purpose of the sampling documented in this plan (e.g., to further define the extent
of contamination in the canal and characterize the contamination in extracted water).
Water Sample Collection paragraph 2:
Please add a sentence clarifying that the gauged thickness of the liquid phase hydrocarbons (LPH) in the storage tanks
will be used to estimate the volume of LPH removed from the Site.
Notification
San Joaquin is spelled incorrectly.
Reporting:
San Joaquin is spelled incorrectly.
Best,
Holly Young
Engineering Geologist
Site Cleanup Program, Federal Cleanup Unit
Central Valley Water Board
11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200
Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Tel: 916-464-4669
Email: holly.young@waterboards.ca.gov
From: Taylor, Andrew@Wildlife <Andrew.Taylor@Wildlife.ca.gov>
Sent: Thursday, June 30, 2022 11:26 AM
To: Casey Sanders <csanders@apexenvirotech.com >; Fred Mitchell <Fred.Mitchell@ponder-env.com >; Alaniz, John [EHD
<jalaniz1@sigov.org>; Manzo, Elena K.
