• <br />• 2/13/2020 <br />Tracking Label: <br />• A tracking label must be on each BLACK RCRA <br />pharmaceutical waste container. <br />• When a container is placed in use, the Location and Start <br />Date must be written on the label. <br />• When a full container is moved to the hazardous <br />pharmaceutical waste storage area, the Full Date must <br />be written on the label. <br />• Black Containers must be exchanged in units after 9 <br />months if not full. <br />• Labels are specific to the style of container. (BKC, SP, SPC, <br />SPO). Tracking label code MUST match Haz Label code. <br />Highlighted areas are required and facility specific <br />n.. <br />....., or -i <br />Aerosol (SP) Hazardous <br />Container <br />• The green labeled containers are typically found in Pharmacy <br />• Bring full container to storage area and place on spill <br />containment pallet — add full date to tracking label. <br />• When providinga new container, for 8 gallon place a liner in the <br />bin and place the tracking label on the liner; for 2 gallon place a <br />tracking label on the side. Complete the location and start date <br />on tracking label. <br />• In CALIFORNIA replace with Green Labeled Container and Sort <br />Code SP Tracking Label (see example slide). Other States use <br />General Tracking Label. Replacement Labels found in a <br />dedicated area within the CAA (in the job box for facilities <br />that have one present or in hospital (RCRA) book or binder <br />if used at that location). <br />• Stericycle hazardous waste driver will pack waste on day of pick <br />4 <br />
