Soil Assessment Workplan Page 2 of 3
J&L Market December 21,2022
French Camp, California
supervision of a California Professional Engineer employed by ATLAS. The proposed
soil boring locations are shown on Figure 1.
Laboratory Analvsis and Chain-of-Custody
The samples collected will be labeled with a unique sample identification number, name
of collector, time and date of collection, and requested analyses. This information will
be transferred to a standard chain-of-custody form, to track the sample handling until
delivery to the analytical laboratory. The samples will be placed in an ice chest (with
ice) pending delivery to the laboratory at the end of the field day. Soil samples collected
will be analyzed by a California state-certified laboratory for the presence of Total
Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd) using EPA Method 8015M and a full list of
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) using EPA Method 826013.
Schedule and Reporting
Upon approval of this workplan by the CVRWQCB and authorization to proceed from
J&L Market, ATLAS can begin the field portion of the work approximately three (3) to
four (4) weeks. The CVRWQCB will be notified once dates for fieldwork have been
scheduled. The results of the soil investigation will be incorporated in a Site Assessment
Report along with a historical summary of site activities and recommendations. The Site
Assessment Report will be available approximately four (4) weeks after completing all
laboratory analysis for the soil samples.
CLOSING
This workplan has been prepared by Atlas Environmental Engineering, Inc., on behalf of
J&L Market.
