<br /> OBSERVATIONS:The exhaust hood must be constructed to meet the requirements of the California Mechanical Code
<br /> [CRFC§114149.1]. Every hood shall be installed to provide thorough cleaning of all interior and exterior surfaces, including,
<br /> but not limited to,the hood,filters, piping, lights,troughs, hangers,flanges, and exhaust ducts. Mechanical exhaust
<br /> ventilation equipment shall be provided over all the cooking equipment as required to effectively remove cooking odors,
<br /> smoke, steam, grease, heat and vapors.
<br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Exhaust hoods shall be provided to remove toxic gases,heat,grease, vapors and smoke and be approved by
<br /> the local building department. Canopy-type hoods shall extend 6"beyond all cooking equipment.All areas shall have sufficient ventilation
<br /> to facilitate proper food storage. Toilet rooms shall be vented to the outside air by a screened openable window,an air shaft, or a
<br /> light-switch activated exhaust fan,consistent with local building codes. (114149, 114149.1)Adequate lighting shall be provided in all areas

<br /> extent as possible. When otherwise installed,they shall be mounted or enclosed so as to facilitate cleaning (e.g., at least
